Perhaps I should move to Wyoming - Gov signs sovereignty resolution

#teaparty #redco #freedom #10thAmendment #tcot
by Michael Boldin
This week, Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal signed House Joint Resolution 2 (HJ0002), claiming “sovereignty on behalf of the State of Wyoming and for its citizens under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government or reserved to the people by the Constitution of the United States.”

Freudenthal, a long-time Democrat, was previously a US attorney for the Clinton administration, and is currently serving his 2nd term as Governor of Wyoming. He endorsed Barack Obama for president and is commonly referred to as one of the most popular governors in the country.
In a memorandum sent to the Wyoming legislature in late January, Freudenthal made clear his position that the federal government has gone beyond the limits of the constitution:

“For decades we have shared increased frustration dealing with the federal government and its
agencies. What started out as a leak in the erosion of state prerogative and independence has today turned into a flood. From wolf and grizzly bear management, to gun control, to endless regulation and unfunded mandates – the federal government has become far too powerful and intrusive.”

Obama Surrenders Gulf Oil To Russia

#peoplespress #globalwarming #marxism #che #socialist #tcot #teaparty
I now believe Washington liberals, aka marxists in my book want to see the destruction of America as the world leader in finance, medicine, farming, inventions, technology and CHARITY.

America, Obama just flipped you the bird...he does not care what you want...he knows better than you.

By
The Obama administration is poised to ban offshore oil drilling on the outer continental shelf until 2012 or beyond. Meanwhile, Russia is making a bold strategic leap to begin drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. While the United States attempts to shift gears to alternative fuels to battle the purported evils of carbon emissions, Russia will erect oil derricks off the Cuban coast.

Offshore oil production makes economic sense. It creates jobs and helps fulfill America's vast energy needs. It contributes to the gross domestic product and does not increase the trade deficit. Higher oil supply helps keep a lid on rising prices, and greater American production gives the United States more influence over the global market.

Drilling is also wildly popular with the public. A Pew Research Center poll from February showed 63 percent support for offshore drilling for oil and natural gas. Americans understand the fundamental points: The oil is there, and we need it. If we don't drill it out, we have to buy it from other countries. Last year, the U.S. government even helped Brazil underwrite offshore drilling in the Tupi oil field near Rio de Janeiro. The current price of oil makes drilling economically feasible, so why not let the private sector go ahead and get our oil? READ THE REST

3 Strikes - global warming scare movies are out?

#climategate #globalwarming #tcot
From Big Hollywood - watermelon politics (green on the outside, red inside) has hopefully worn out its welcome for a while.

...two things happened last year that shot an arrow in the heart of the beast; one of the worst winters on record and Climategate. And the hits keep on coming. Now it turns out that NASA, who claimed for years that their data proves Global Warming is real, was actually just using CRU data all along. And the CRU couldn’t back up any of its data. In fact, they “lost the records” when they were forced to produce them. Oops!
...The climate scam is worth trillions of dollars and who knows how many millions, if not billions have been spent to win over the public. Too bad the public is losing interest fast. People are increasingly saying it’s all made up or at best, exaggerated

GP's will stop practicing if Obamacare passes

#tcot #oamacare #teaparty #peoplespress
from HotAirblog
The New England Journal of Medicine, hardly a bastion of conservative thought, polled health-care providers to determine their reaction to ObamaCare, and discovered that it has many doctors looking for the exits. Almost half of all general-practice doctors would feel compelled to leave medicine altogether if it passes:

46.3% of primary care physicians (family medicine and internal medicine) feel that the passing of health reform will either force them out of medicine or make them want to leave medicine.
36% of physicians would not recommend medicine as a career, regardless of health reform. 27% would recommend medicine as a career but not if health reform passes.

62.7% of physicians feel that health reform is needed but should be implemented in a more targeted, gradual way, as opposed to the sweeping overhaul that is in legislation

Reconciliation: Disdain For The Public, Disregard For Democracy

#teaparty #tcot #socialism #obamacare
I have said this probably 50 times, I knew the Democrats would over reach but I had no clue as to how far and how fast they would run with their majority.....they are tearing the Republic apart, I am praying that the American electorate's usually short memory won't be so short this time.

For certain this will change the face of the Democratic party forever.

From M. Medved; The legislative tactic known as “reconciliation” uses a soothing word to mask an ugly reality. Far from the dictionary definition of “restoring to friendship and harmony,” the Congressional term “reconciliation” suggests the spurning of cooperation and the brute use of partisan power. Worst of all, in the case of Obamacare, it also involves a dangerous, destructive violation of democratic principle.
The original idea of reconciliation, first employed in 1980, involved desperate efforts during the Carter era to bring the exploding federal deficit under control –a goal embraced by both political parties. As the New York Times described it (March 7, 2010): “Reconciliation was intended to be a narrow procedure to bring revenues and spending into conformity with the levels set in the annual budget resolutions.” Appropriately, the earliest examples of the procedure drew overwhelming bi-partisan support. ACORN is out of Ohio's elections

In legal settlement, group agrees not to return to state
Thursday, March 11, 2010 2:53 AM
By James Nash
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

ACORN, the liberal group notorious for allegedly trying to inflate voter rolls through fraudulent practices, has seen its last election in Ohio.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now will permanently surrender its Ohio business license by June1 as part of a legal settlement with the conservative Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions, both sides said yesterday.

ACORN was active in Ohio in the 2006 and 2008 elections, working to register thousands of low-income people to vote and get them to the polls. The group's efforts were marred by irregularities, including one case in which ACORN workers allegedly induced a Cleveland man to register to vote 72 times, offering cigarettes as an incentive.

Colorado Democrats Want to Continue Using Taxpayer Dollars to Promote Themselves

#redco #tcot #teaparty #localteaparty
From Colorado Senate News.

COLORADO SENATE REPUBLICANS Dems kill proposed ban on elected official promotions

On a party-line vote, Democrats defeated Senate Bill 105, which would have protected taxpayer money from being used to promote elected officials.

“It is important that our citizens know we never use their money to promote ourselves,” said Sen. Bill Cadman, R-Colorado Springs, who sponsored the measure. “We all have campaign funds for that reason.”

The state’s top economists have found that Colorado’s elected officials have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars promoting themselves and their official duties over the past year. In January, an Associated Press report revealed that Democrat Gov. Bill Ritter spent over $200,000 to pay for photographs, videos and TV ads promoting his accomplishments. State Treasurer Cary Kennedy also used her office budget to run TV ads informing the public of the “Great Colorado Payback,” and she featured herself prominently in the commercials.

Cadman said under his bill the state could still spend money informing citizens of the kind of services that are available to them, but elected officials would just be prohibited from making themselves the centerpiece of the promotion.

“Taxpayer funded public service promotions should never be public servant promotions,” Cadman said.

The Dumbing Down of America....Obama counts on it

Great blog post over at Joy Tiz

Decades of entrusting the federal government with our children’s education has led, inevitably, to the dumbing down of an entire nation. Our public school system has failed to provide the most basic and elementary skills, while at the same time functioning as a ministry of propaganda for left wing causes. The hijacking of our schools has been going on for decades; we are now experiencing the repercussions.

Only in a thoroughly dumbed down America would Barack Obama’s astonishing ignorance of American history have gone unnoticed. Only in a thoroughly dumbed down America could Barack Obama have been elected to the presidency in the first place. A man with no executive experience, deeply disturbing associations, and gaping holes in his history was elevated to the highest office in the land.

Fourteen months into his presidency, with nothing but an ignominious accumulation of failures to show for it, Obama is taking his last stand. The only way he can overcome this mountain of fiascos is if Americans are every bit as dumb as he thinks they are. READ THE ENTIRE POST HERE
