My bottom line is we need to stop rewarding bad politicians who are screwing up our country, our cities and our community with more money. Chicago has been sliding into third world status right behind Detroit in it's most dangerous places in the United States category. I have been wondering out loud if Rudi Guliani is doing anything and might want to run for mayor of Chicago next. Obviously the corruption is so deep in Chicago they can't function. Kids are killing each other (black on black mostly) in the streets and still blaming racism and poverty for their behavior... in spite of the fact that a lot of it is happening some of the best funded schools in the country. Liberalism does not work.

In a surprising move President Barack Obama is traveling to Copenhagen to campaign for Chicago hosting the Summer Olympics. This is a risky and silly move by Obama, if Chicago loses its bid he will be perceived as a loser by the world community.

Following the Premiere, Esquire shuttles many of the attendees straight down to SoHo to the opening of The Esquire Apartment – a fully decadent penthouse where every square inch is paid for by a luxury sponsor. Hot tub, $120k pool table, $60k home theater, fine food. The only thing lacking was a doormat saying “Welcome To Capitalism.”

Awesome Photos from WW2 era
I am home with two sick kids today, no time to blog, work or do the usual. But I got these from a friend and thought I'd pass them along. Very interesting look into a very succesful operation here in the states to hide Lockheed from the air.
Lockheed During WW II (unbelievable 1940s pictures) This is pretty neat--special effects during the 1940's: I have never seen these pictures or knew that we had gone this far to protect us. During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from Japanese air attack. They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air. (Besides everything else, check out the cars.) Click on the pictures for full size view.

ACORN had a big part in electing our current president and they are anything but bi-partisan (although they are a taxpayer funded org.)
During the election there were many stories (again only by new media) that ACORN employees only helped people get to the polls who were voting for Obama, and they did their best to register as many people as possible as a Democrat....didn't matter if the "voter" was dead or alive... or a cartoon character. Old media grudgingly told a few stories about it, making sure of course to also print the Liberal party story to explain it. The party line has always been it is the low level employees who are out of control...not management.
I don't expect that these new victories for the truth will do much to slow down the progressive left, so we must push the pedal down, keep shining that light telling the truth and posting the videos. The media and the administration COMPLETELY and continuously underestimate new media (blogs and talk radio rose not just because of technology but because of perceived bias in the main stream media by main stream Americans) but Obama appears to be shockingly tone deaf and....deadly wrong. This could be the death of liberals in charge of anything the next 20 years if he keeps this up.
Today he is meeting with Bill Clinton...hopefully Bill's advise will be skewed because he wants his wife to be the nominee next time because Clinton, is NOT tone deaf, he knows when to give in...parry and come back from another direction. Obama so far has only had one direction...turn hard left, do not pass go...etc.
The bad week for ACORN continues....it's turning into a bad year for them.

2008 was known to conservatives as the year the media died. They went so far into the tank for Obama it was sickening...they didn't even look into his past or even his college records (like they ALWAYS did before). ACORN corruption is another long nail in their coffin. The New York Times actually said they have not covered the story of ACORN because people were on vacation!!! Charlie Gibson of ABC said he had not even heard of the story.
The age of corruption is trembling from a coming earthquake. A quake caused by exposing it, this is just the beginning. Take heart America, we can get our country back, the foundation though cracking is still in place.

Sept 11 post - how did our country change that day?

Hard to know what to post about this morning. I am a little depressed that it seems the majority of people in my country are behaving as though 9-11 was a distant dream and our reaction to it was overdone.
I am in the unique position to be able to read reports otherwise not available to the uncleared public and I believe we didn't go far enough to try and stop this from happening again, but I am restrained from being specific.
My life changed on 9-11, I fulfilled a promise I made to myself during the 1st gulf war by joining the US Navy shortly after 9-11 and doing my small part to help protect this country. I also was deployed during the Iraq surge and am proud of being able to take part in freeing that country from a dictator, then eventually from insurgents (for the most part).
Regardless of how you feel about it, Al-Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan fled to Iraq shortly after we went there, and were given a safe haven to regroup. We took them on and the blood thirsty dictator (and sons), destroying more than a few of them, making the middle east a safer place, and waking up the slumbering American haters too I'll admit.
The ensuing propaganda war by partisan Democrats and European socialists hurt the effort a great deal, but we won none the less. The effects of the propaganda and the ineptitude of some in the previous administration have ushered in the most left wing administration this country has ever seen. I predict a one term Obama presidency as the country seems to have woken up from its ridiculous notion that liberals are somehow more moral. I speak as one "hoping for change".
Thomas Jefferson said "oppressive laws are a result of a people who cannot govern themselves". It remains to be seen if Iraq will be able to govern itself freely, given their chosen religion's tendency to want to kill people who disagree with them. If they cannot, then the Libertarians and the "liberals" will be proved right and we should have stayed out...but that remains to be seen. Afghanistan/Pakistan is still a safe haven for terrorists because of the terrain and poverty of the area, but we are giving it the ole college try to oust them from that haven. Pray for peace.
Yesterday I posted that an American Muslim who previously accurately predicted 9-11 and the first tower bombing is predicting another, larger attack. I hope he is wrong. It seems however only about 1/2 of us woke up that September morning, I just wish it would not take more death and destruction to get the rest of us to realize what must be done.
Those in the "secret" services of our country can't come out and defend themselves without losing their jobs by revealing secrets they've sworn to keep. This lack of available evidence fuels the left's partisan and wrongheaded attacks, especially now as they move unfettered to attack the people who are sworn to protect their rights.
During the Bush administration's tenure high level Democrats in congress and the house leveled charges of lying, murder, torture and terrorism against the CIA, the US Marines, the Army and other people sworn to protect us. 99.9% of it was a lie. The remaining was overblown. To date no one has paid any price for this treason. When will it end? It is getting worse (see below).

Hard to know what to post about this morning. I am a little depressed that it seems the majority of people in my country are behaving as though 9-11 was a distant dream and our reaction to it was overdone.
I am in the unique position to be able to read reports otherwise not available to the uncleared public and I believe we didn't go far enough to try and stop this from happening again, but I am restrained from being specific.
My life changed on 9-11, I fulfilled a promise I made to myself during the 1st gulf war by joining the US Navy shortly after 9-11 and doing my small part to help protect this country. I also was deployed during the Iraq surge and am proud of being able to take part in freeing that country from a dictator, then eventually from insurgents (for the most part).
Regardless of how you feel about it, Al-Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan fled to Iraq shortly after we went there, and were given a safe haven to regroup. We took them on and the blood thirsty dictator (and sons), destroying more than a few of them, making the middle east a safer place, and waking up the slumbering American haters too I'll admit.
The ensuing propaganda war by partisan Democrats and European socialists hurt the effort a great deal, but we won none the less. The effects of the propaganda and the ineptitude of some in the previous administration have ushered in the most left wing administration this country has ever seen. I predict a one term Obama presidency as the country seems to have woken up from its ridiculous notion that liberals are somehow more moral. I speak as one "hoping for change".
Thomas Jefferson said "oppressive laws are a result of a people who cannot govern themselves". It remains to be seen if Iraq will be able to govern itself freely, given their chosen religion's tendency to want to kill people who disagree with them. If they cannot, then the Libertarians and the "liberals" will be proved right and we should have stayed out...but that remains to be seen. Afghanistan/Pakistan is still a safe haven for terrorists because of the terrain and poverty of the area, but we are giving it the ole college try to oust them from that haven. Pray for peace.
Yesterday I posted that an American Muslim who previously accurately predicted 9-11 and the first tower bombing is predicting another, larger attack. I hope he is wrong. It seems however only about 1/2 of us woke up that September morning, I just wish it would not take more death and destruction to get the rest of us to realize what must be done.
Those in the "secret" services of our country can't come out and defend themselves without losing their jobs by revealing secrets they've sworn to keep. This lack of available evidence fuels the left's partisan and wrongheaded attacks, especially now as they move unfettered to attack the people who are sworn to protect their rights.
During the Bush administration's tenure high level Democrats in congress and the house leveled charges of lying, murder, torture and terrorism against the CIA, the US Marines, the Army and other people sworn to protect us. 99.9% of it was a lie. The remaining was overblown. To date no one has paid any price for this treason. When will it end? It is getting worse (see below).

Much has been made about Joe Wilson calling the president a liar during his speach last night. Rep. Wilson’s shout-out Wednesday night came in response to President Obama’s claim that illegal immigrants would not be covered by the Democrats’ health care plan.
“Nothing in any of the Democrat bills would require individuals to verify their citizenship or identity prior to receiving taxpayer-subsidized benefits—making the President’s promise one that the legislation itself does not keep,” the House Republican conference wrote in a “Myth vs. Fact” news release. Senator McCain disagrees though. READ THE REST
I think it was crass and in poor taste to yell at the president while he is speaking but I can't argue with Rep. Wilson....he was right. The president is playing fast and loose with all the facts and in some cases...like ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and ABORTION he is either completely ignorant or outright lying, either one is inexcusable.
Factcheck.org says the President is not telling the truth on the Abortion issue.

ACORN is taking credit for turning in the workers (who were following orders) to falsify registration cards. This is typical of how ACORN handles things, they blame the workers (who are by the way working on less than a living wage) for doing exactly what they've been taught to do.
ACORN hopes this will tame down the accusations and lawsuits to show they are handling this internally....I say its just a smokescreen to hide the true intent of this TAXPAYER FUNDED organization.

MIAMI (AP) - Arrest warrants have been issued in Miami for 11 people suspected of falsifying information on hundreds of voter registration cards last year.
The FBI and state authorities were making arrests Wednesday. The workers being sought were hired to register voters by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.
Prosecutors say they were first notified by ACORN about problems with workers in June 2008.
Republicans and conservative activists have accused ACORN of fraud in voter registration drives around the country. ACORN officials say the Florida case proves the organization is committed to an honest process.

The U.S. Postal Service is investigating complaints that some postal vehicles appeared at a Labor Day parade in Louisville with signs supporting President Barack Obama's health proposals. Some residents in the town said they saw the signs on postal vehicles and on a public bus. The signs said "health care can't wait" and "no more business as usual."

I've been criticized recently for using the words communist and socialism in my descriptions of the ideology behind the current administration. My criticizers claims that the younger generations (35 and younger) don't really use those words and the terms are either lost on their public school educated minds or dismissed easily as kooky. (my summation not theirs)
I will continue to use these terms however because they are perfectly descriptive..IF the people who are reading them have been properly educated as to what they mean. I'll define them here and will continue to do so for those who are turned off or do not understand the words.
First let me say that Communism itself is an ideology, a world view that all business, property owners and rich people are just taking advantage of lower class workers and that the state itself (the government) should be the engine used to "free" them. They achieve this by eliminating all privately owned property, and seizing the wealth of those who have it, redistributing it to those who do not. The only truly rich people in a communist nation work for the government.
The fall of communism (no country has ever had this as a full form of government and been prosperous) and the rise of free nations are directly due to the fact that free nations like the United States allow ANYONE to become rich if they work hard, have good ideas and get lucky.
Communism by definition doesn't believe people can break out of their "class". There is also an incidious side to the ideology...they force it upon you whether you want it or not because they know better than you what you need.
Estimates are that over 100 million people have been killed under this ideology.
Socialism is compartmentalized communism. I think is best described as communism without the testosterone to man the barricades. It is the stepping stone to it and it bankrupts nations by stifling the economic engine.
Communists in the world today say that their version failed because it has never been fully tried. Fully tried to them means a full transformation from capitalism to communism. I wonder if we have enough space for the bodies... to handle the transformation. China, has been unsuccessfully trying to do both capitalism and communism recently..and slowly slipping toward capitalism in spite of their government's crackdowns. Communism does not allow freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms or anything else contained in our Bill of Rights.

Marxism
The doctrines of Karl Marx and his associate Friedrich Engels on economics, politics, and society. Marxism calls for a classless society in which all means of production are commonly owned (communism), a system to be reached as an inevitable result of the struggle between the leaders of capitalism and the workers.
The gentleman (and I use the term loosely) below is a communist...he said so himself. He named his son after a communist revolutionary. this is just a sample of his views, they are well documented. The lady who speaks at the end, also an advisor to the president expresses here deep admiration for him. The change Obama's people want, is not the change we need. Our country is in danger.

I have consistently hoped, and occasionally said that the Democrats would take their big win in the legislative and executive branches, misinterpret it as a complete change of ideology in the country...and overreach...they always do.
Clinton did it pretty quickly but Obama makes him look like an amateur in the overreach department. Clinton at least knew that the American people are all about jobs...about the economy, about our families about leaving something for our children....Obama seems oblivious to that and appears to be all about radical change...a change toward something more akin to Venezuelan communism (Hugo of course calls it "democracy") than a free nation.
I was hoping I was at least partially right about the coming overreach. I knew it would help swing the house and senate to the right in the next cycle.....little did I know how correct I was.
Democrat experts are now predicting a loss of 20 to 50 seats in the house.
Here are my bottom line reasons as to why the supposed reversal in the fickle electorate (which is really no reversal at all).
It has to do with how Obama and his cronies got elected in the first place. Here are a couple of reasons for the leftward shift.
1. Bush fatigue. As his father before him, Bush did not defend himself nor speak very well...he looked weak when he tried. The dominant media, Hollywood, and the newly minted extreme left "new media" contradicted, argued with and made look as foolish as possible every decision President Bush made for 8 long years. They attacked him with more fervor, on every front than any president I can remember in my lifetime. I remember they hated Reagan too, but they were not able to get away with quite so much as they did with Bush...it was relentless and it was successful.
Eventually the electorate fell for it...Bush of course didn't help himself well at all...and he made a lot of mistakes on the economy. Democrats were able to run on all fronts as the anti-Bush. But Obama still had to misrepresent himself. He could not be honest or he would have lost.
Had he told America he agreed with Jeremiah Wright, he would have lost. Had he said he believed socialism was the change we needed...he would have lost.
2. Obama didn't run as a liberal...he ran as more conservative on the economy than Republicans! Since the economy was foremost on everyone's mind...including the part of the electorate that pays no attention to politics until election time they were looking for an economic savior. His silky delivery fooled many. I don't say this lightly. I am not one who believes the American public is stupid...but I do believe they can be very gullible. Lefties cannot run as the socialists they truly are..they have to misrepresent themselves.
The willing media portrayed "right wing fanatics" like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck as crazy and out of the main stream when they declared candidate Obama was extreme left, socialist, that he was lying and misrepresenting himself. Apparently the media still didn't realize that Limbaugh prides himself on saying see I told you so.....and for good reason...he is usually right.
3. Very poor Republican candidates....especially the one for President. The registered voters on the right were furious with the beltway Republicans for choosing McCain...many didn't vote or voted for Ron Paul (who NEVER had a chance due to his isolationist views.)
This leftward momentum carried over to other elections. Had McCain not chosen Palin as his running mate, he would have lost by a much worse margin. Millions of conservatives stayed home, disgusted with the choice they had to make..some voted for Ron Paul.
Those things won the election for the Democrats along with the final death of main stream media objectivity. But the Democrats in their puffed up, self important isolated from reality bubble believed in their little hearts that America had turned to socialist ideals as a solution...they are wrong.
September 2009; in only 7 short months Obama has taken a half trillion dollar out of control Bush budget and more than quadrupled it with no end to the frenzy of spending in sight. Rather than investing in the economy, Obama has invested in his friends, sent billions to pet Democrat projects that do not help businesses (the engine of the economy) at all. Billions of dollars that have yet to be created are already spent. Joblessness grows even after Obama promised it would not. Everyone in the country knows people who are out of work and they themselves probably have taken a pay cut...while they watch Obama send billions to unions (the cause of the Detroit's third world status) and his friends.
Rather than jump-starting the economy, the party that swept the last election cycle is trying to pass extreme tax increases based on VERY debatable science to take control of another part of the economy. They've already started nationalizing the banking industry and taking over car companies. If they take over the energy sector, Americans who pay attention know it will ruin us.
Americans know that more government is not the answer, but their representatives don't seem to care what they think....they ram through their "fixes" at lightning speed without actually even reading the bills. Some of us are screaming that government involvement in business is actually the problem and thanks to new media...we've been able to get through to some degree.
Bottom line, the fall in Obama's popularity and the forcasted upcoming landslide back to the right is because once again the Democrats do not understand Americans. They believed their own press and they overreached far beyond what i thought was even possible in the first 6 months.
I have consistently hoped, and occasionally said that the Democrats would take their big win in the legislative and executive branches, misinterpret it as a complete change of ideology in the country...and overreach...they always do.
Clinton did it pretty quickly but Obama makes him look like an amateur in the overreach department. Clinton at least knew that the American people are all about jobs...about the economy, about our families about leaving something for our children....Obama seems oblivious to that and appears to be all about radical change...a change toward something more akin to Venezuelan communism (Hugo of course calls it "democracy") than a free nation.
I was hoping I was at least partially right about the coming overreach. I knew it would help swing the house and senate to the right in the next cycle.....little did I know how correct I was.
Democrat experts are now predicting a loss of 20 to 50 seats in the house.
Here are my bottom line reasons as to why the supposed reversal in the fickle electorate (which is really no reversal at all).
It has to do with how Obama and his cronies got elected in the first place. Here are a couple of reasons for the leftward shift.
1. Bush fatigue. As his father before him, Bush did not defend himself nor speak very well...he looked weak when he tried. The dominant media, Hollywood, and the newly minted extreme left "new media" contradicted, argued with and made look as foolish as possible every decision President Bush made for 8 long years. They attacked him with more fervor, on every front than any president I can remember in my lifetime. I remember they hated Reagan too, but they were not able to get away with quite so much as they did with Bush...it was relentless and it was successful.
Eventually the electorate fell for it...Bush of course didn't help himself well at all...and he made a lot of mistakes on the economy. Democrats were able to run on all fronts as the anti-Bush. But Obama still had to misrepresent himself. He could not be honest or he would have lost.
Had he told America he agreed with Jeremiah Wright, he would have lost. Had he said he believed socialism was the change we needed...he would have lost.
2. Obama didn't run as a liberal...he ran as more conservative on the economy than Republicans! Since the economy was foremost on everyone's mind...including the part of the electorate that pays no attention to politics until election time they were looking for an economic savior. His silky delivery fooled many. I don't say this lightly. I am not one who believes the American public is stupid...but I do believe they can be very gullible. Lefties cannot run as the socialists they truly are..they have to misrepresent themselves.
The willing media portrayed "right wing fanatics" like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck as crazy and out of the main stream when they declared candidate Obama was extreme left, socialist, that he was lying and misrepresenting himself. Apparently the media still didn't realize that Limbaugh prides himself on saying see I told you so.....and for good reason...he is usually right.
3. Very poor Republican candidates....especially the one for President. The registered voters on the right were furious with the beltway Republicans for choosing McCain...many didn't vote or voted for Ron Paul (who NEVER had a chance due to his isolationist views.)
This leftward momentum carried over to other elections. Had McCain not chosen Palin as his running mate, he would have lost by a much worse margin. Millions of conservatives stayed home, disgusted with the choice they had to make..some voted for Ron Paul.
Those things won the election for the Democrats along with the final death of main stream media objectivity. But the Democrats in their puffed up, self important isolated from reality bubble believed in their little hearts that America had turned to socialist ideals as a solution...they are wrong.
