Time for Romney to Step in it

Now that Romney is well on his way to becoming the Republican Presidential nominee he is keeping up with the GOP tradition of saying something stupid the Main Stream Press and the Left Wingnuts (but I repeat myself) can use to BASH HIM over the head with and repeat, out of context until the world knows our guy hates poor people, or wants to kill old people, is a racist, or ...INSERT DIVISIVE ACCUSATION HERE.

For Romney, his first gift is this; “ I’m not concerned about the very poor that have a safety net,"
Then he went on to say how he only wants to focus on the middle class. Of course, he was making a point about the middle class needing the shot in the arm right now, but it does not matter, this will be used to beat him with, because he did not think through this appeal properly before he said it. Put your CUP on Mitt, here it comes. Is Romney only going to focus on the middle class? Of course not but that will be how it sounds.

In an appearance on CNN today, Mitt Romney said the following: “I’m in this race cause I care about Americans. I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it. I’m not concerned about the very rich. They’re doing just fine. I’m concerned about the very heart of America, the 90-95 percent of Americans who right now are struggling. And I’ll continue to take that message across the nation.”

When questioned further, he added, “I said I’m not concerned about the very poor that have a safety net, but if it has holes in it, I will repair them. The challenge right now—we will hear from the Democrat Party ‘the plight of the poor.’ And there’s no question, it’s not good being poor and we have a safety net to help those that are very poor. But my campaign is focused on middle-income Americans … You can choose where to focus. You can focus on the rich. That’s not my focus. You can focus on the very poor. That’s not my focus.”

“My focus is on middle-income Americans, retirees living on Social Security, people who can’t find work, folks that have kids that are getting ready to go to college. These are the people who’ve been most badly hurt during the Obama years. We have a very ample safety net and we can talk about whether it needs to be strengthened or whether there are holes in it. But we have food stamps, we have Medicaid, we have housing vouchers, we have programs to help the poor. But the middle-income Americans, they are the folks that are really struggling right now and they need someone that can help get this economy going for them.”

The House has created and given them a budget many times, they refuse to act and pass to the POTUS, because then they would be accountable to a decision. TTBO..throw the bums out.

While the next POTUS is very important that he NOT be Obama for many reasons, the Senate is the key. We must force Reid and his ilk into a new line of work.

January 25, 2011: A cache of seized weapons used in the ATF gun-running operation 'Fast and Furious' is displayed at a news conference in Phoenix.

The chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona is refusing to testify before Congress regarding Operation Fast and Furious, the federal gun-running scandal that sent U.S. weapons to Mexico.

Patrick J. Cunningham informed the House Oversight Committee late Thursday through his attorney that he will use the Fifth Amendment protection.

Cunningham was ordered Wednesday to appear before Chairman Darrell Issa and the House Oversight Committee regarding his role in the operation that sent more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa Cartel. Guns from the failed operation were found at the murder scene of Border Agent Brian Terry.

The letter from Cunningham’s Washington DC attorney stunned congressional staff. Last week, Cunningham, the second highest ranking U.S. Attorney in Arizona, was scheduled to appear before Issa‘s committee voluntarily. Then, he declined and Issa issued a subpoena.

Anyone familiar with political history (particularly Prohibition) knows that single issue movements are dangerous. If a group of people only interested in one social issue (say Gay Marriage, or Abortion) hold too much sway in the general public, and the media in particular we can get the worst kind of laws and the worst kind of law makers...for long periods of time. Prohibition was one of the stupidest things ever put into law yet it lasted 11 years all because of single issue voting groups holding too much sway in Washington. The Gay lobby and those in the media who give them way more power than than a tiny minority deserves are corrupting our choices for elected officials. Their newest victim (actually they've been trying to destroy him for years but now it's at a new level) is Rick Santorum. Regardless of how you feel about this social issue, we must get back to sanity and not give credence to idiots like Dan Savage. I do not know how to fix this other than to make voters aware of it, so here it is.

When Rick Santorum essentially tied in Iowa, he gave his campaign new life. He also guaranteed America would finally learn just how disgusting, vile and despicable the left is in this country. And how major news outlets and one of the most well-known businesses in the world – Google – are complicit in trying to destroy Santorum because he opposes gay marriage.

Santorum is the victim of what Reuters partner The Wrap and many other organizations call a “Google problem.” That’s quite the understatement. He was attacked with a Google bomb from Dan Savage, a gay advocate and sex columnist who hates straight people who don’t agree with him. He also thinks they should be silenced, bullied and blackmailed. That’s exactly how he’s treated Santorum.

WASHINGTON -- The Securities and Exchange Commission has brought civil fraud charges against six former top executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying they misled the government and taxpayers about risky subprime mortgages the mortgage giants held during the housing bust.

Those charged include the agencies' two former CEOs, Fannie's Daniel Mudd and Freddie's Richard Syron. They are the highest-profile individuals to be charged in connection with the 2008 financial crisis.

Mudd, 53, and Syron, 68, led the mortgage giants when the housing bubble burst in late 2006 and 2007. The four other top executives also worked for the companies during that time.

The case was filed in federal court in New York City.

In a statement released through his attorney, Mudd said the lawsuit "should never have been brought" and said the government reviewed and approved all of the company's financial disclosures.

"Every piece of material data about loans held by Fannie Mae was known to the United States government to the investing public," Mudd said. "The SEC is wrong, and I look forward to a court where fairness and reason -- not politics -- is the standard for justice."
Syron's lawyer couldn't be immediately reached for comment.

According to the lawsuit, Fannie told investors in 2007 that it had roughly $4.8 billion worth of subprime loans on its books, or just 0.2 percent of its portfolio. The SEC says that Fannie actually had about $43 billion worth of products targeted to borrowers with weak credit, or 11 percent of its holdings.

The Tea Party movement has become a major influence in Republican politics. So major in fact, that the party establishment is starting to fight back against it. We can truly say there is a war going on between the Tea Party and GOP old-guard for control of the Republican party.

The primary tactic of the RINOs is to criticize the Tea Party for backing “unelectable” candidates (candidates that are too conservative to appeal to moderate voters). There is a constant refrain that every election loss is due to Tea Partiers refusal to compromise—their insistence on backing actual conservatives instead of compromising their values to back more “practical” candidates. To hear someone like Karl Rove talk, you would think the Tea Party movement has been a disaster for the GOP; costing them many house seats and a senate majority.

How did a failing California solar company, buffeted by short sellers and shareholder lawsuits, receive a $1.2 billion federal loan guarantee for a photovoltaic electricity ranch project—three weeks after it announced it was building new manufacturing plant in Mexicali, Mexico, to build the panels for the project.

The company, SunPower (SPWR-NASDAQ), now carries $820 million in debt, an amount $20 million greater than its market capitalization. If SunPower was a bank, the feds would shut it down. Instead, it received a lifeline twice the size of the money sent down the Solyndra drain.

Two men with insight into the process are SunPower rooter Rep. George R. Miller III, (D.-Calif.), the senior Democrat on the House Education and Workforce Committee and the co-chairman of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee, and his SunPower lobbyist son, George Miller IV.

Miller the Elder is a strong advocate for SunPower, which converted an old Richmond, Calif., Ford plant in his district to a panel-manufacturing facility.

Two men of Bangladeshi origin were caught by Customs and Border Protection illegally crossing the US-Mexico border last June and admitted they were members of a terrorist organization that allied with Bin Laden against America.

Now, it appears at least one of those men is free after posting bail and claiming asylum. And the Department of Homeland security has no idea where he is.

The information is according to a report this week by Pajamas Media, which gives some background on these suspected terrorists:

“The two men, Muhammad Nazmul Hasan and Mirza Muhammad Saifuddin, were intercepted near Naco, Arizona, not long after they had crossed the border on June 25, 2010. During their interrogation, one of the men admitted that they were members of Harakat-ul-Jihad-i-Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B), which was designated a terrorist organization by the United States in February 2008.”

Project Gunrunner Cover-up Intensifies

Once again Eric Holder is openly showing his desperation in wanting to minimize the possible damage against himself and President Barack Obama regarding the still developing Fast and Furious/Gunrunner scandal. Last week reports began circulating of promotions being granted to three top supervisors of the failed and deadly federal program that resulted in thousands of guns being placed into the hands of known criminals that ultimately led to the deaths of government officials and citizens on both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border. Two of the three officials promoted previously admitted publicly to their own failings while overseeing the Fast and Furious operation. These failings were in direct violation of their duties as ATF supervisors – and yet, Eric Holder saw to it they were promoted and each placed at ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. – within walking distance to Holder’s own Department of Justice offices.

Now Attorney General Holder is upping the cover-up stakes, sending a formal request to both Senator Chuck Grassley and Representative Darrell Issa – the two legislators who have most aggressively pushed for answers in the Operations Fast and Furious debacle, that both turn over documents they have related to the ongoing investigation. This request from Holder came despite his own refusal to comply with repeated requests from both Grassley and Issa for further information regarding the case currently only available to the Department of Justice.

Although the average terrorist who has attacked/attempted to attack American interests in recent years has been a young Middle-Eastern Muslim male, DHS could not bring itself to use that accurate depiction. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani continues to mull the possibility of a 2012 presidential bid, but his true power in the race may come if he decides against running and instead throws his support to Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

The two men are good friends, and Perry was the only Republican governor in the country to endorse Giuliani’s presidential campaign in 2008. Payback could benefit Perry on a number of fronts – most notably fundraising – and would likely strengthen his status as a top-tier candidate if he decides to run.

And I understand...to a point. This could be a slippery slope and anyone with a huge distrust of anything governmental is going to automatically think the worst. Sorry Preppers and Militia members, I don't sound any alarms on this one. It does perk up my antennas and thanks for making me aware.

I am well acquainted with many in law enforcement of all types and all ranks. I do not personally think this is intended to do anything but a make people vigilant and protect us from terrorism. It is a community effort (law enforcement are part of our community and are not the enemy) to alert Law Enforcement if a group of Jihadis buys a gross of gas masks. If a store owner takes it too far and calls if a harmless militia buys a bunch of ammo I would be very surprised. Still however, this is thin ice and store owners should not feel they have to, or be forced to do this. If that is what is happening I am against it. If they are REQUESTING it as a community effort (which is the way I read it) I do not see a problem with it.

An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as “suspicious” and “potential indicators of terrorist activities,” instructing store owners to keep records on and report people who:

“Make bulk purchase of items to include:

Weatherproofed ammunition or match containers

Meals Ready to Eat

Night Vision Devices; night flashlights; gas masks

High capacity magazines

Bi-pods or tri-pods for rifles”

The FBI handout, entitled “Communities Against Terrorism: Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities Related to Military Surplus Stores” also instructs surplus store owners to:

“Require valid ID from all new customers.

Keep records of purchases.

Talk to customers, ask questions, and

listen to and observe their responses.

Watch for people and actions that are out of place.

Make note of suspicious statements, people, and /or vehicles.

If something seems wrong, notify law enforcement authorities.”

The handout also instructs surplus store owners to consider as “suspicious” anyone who “demands identity ‘privacy’” or anyone who expresses “extreme religious statements” and those who “make suspicious comments regarding anti-US, [or] radical theology.”

The handout encourages surplus store owners and employees to provide information on “suspicious” customers by calling the Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force or the Colorado Information Analysis Center

Ref C money: Who knows where it went

Legislative Council staff member Kate Watkins confirmed what the Independence Institute has said all along. Because money is fungible, no one really knows how the Referendum C money was spent.

The Colorado News Agency reported that Watkins recently appeared before the Transportation Legislative Review Committee. Committee member State Rep Randy Fischer (D-Fort Collins) asked Watkins what happened to Referendum C money that went to transportation:

‘It was kind of a windfall to transportation,’ said Fischer. ‘A lot more money went into the general fund for transportation than backers anticipated. I’m wondering how much of Referendum C money, percentage-wise, went to transportation as opposed to some of the other things it was intended for.’

Legislative Council staffer Kate Watkins responded that it’s difficult to calculate how much of that revenue stream has actually gone into transportation.

‘There is some difficulty in really identifying what revenue from Referendum C went where, and a lot of it has to do with the fungibility of money,’ said Watkins. ‘Basically we don’t know exactly where the Referendum C dollars go.’

While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.

In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee.

Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times, the only media outlet to cover the sentencing.

“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis. She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross.

In the trial, forensic scientist Bo Scales testified that Sowers’s DNA was found on the inner seals of five envelopes containing absentee ballots.

This wasn’t Sowers’s first run-in with the law. Sowers previously had her probation revoked for disturbing the peace at a junior high school library, the Commercial Appeal of Memphis reported in 1990. During a hearing at that time, Sowers played the race card. She claimed to be the victim of “an attempt by powerful whites to silence” her, the newspaper reported. It didn’t work. She was ordered back to prison to complete the remaining two years of a three-year sentence she received for check forgery.

The NAACP has had other problems with voter fraud. The NAACP National Voter Fund registered a dead man to vote in Lake County, Ohio, in 2004. That same year, out of 325 voter registration cards filed by the NAACP in Cleveland, 48 were flagged as fraudulent.

But the NAACP’s voter fraud record doesn’t approach that of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. At least 54 individuals employed by or associated with ACORN have been convicted of voter fraud.

This blog was started shortly after 9.11. Today with Facebook and Twitter I should probably rename it to the WeeklyBlogster, but this morning I owe you my loyal readers (both of you) at least a paragraph or two.

The morning of September 11 2001 I thought about joining the military to help fight the scourge that is Islamic terrorism, to help find justice for the 3000 murdered on that day for no particular reason other than they went to work to provide for their families. Two months later after the anger had subsided some and I knew I was not just doing it because I was mad, I joined the fight.

The Navy was the only one who take such an old man with no military experience so off to boot camp I went at age 37 and I joined the reserves. Nearly 10 years later I am still proud of that, but I am more proud of the men and women I work with and for. Especially those who are in combat in all services, people I have had the honor of serving with and supporting. I am one of the thousands of sailors, soldiers, airman and marines behind the scenes who support those who take the fight to the enemy. We get medals too but they deserve them much more than we do. They put aside their personal fears and the move forward making every attempt to minimize or eliminate civilian casualties and combat an enemy who has no such conscience.

Yesterday was a day of contrasts for me. I woke early while my family slept and I proudly put on the uniform of a Navy Chief, and I drove to the base for reserve duty. I really did not want to go, I was tired and it had been a long week. But I reminded myself that not all of us had the easy job of driving to duty in our own town, some of us are over there, there are always a few of our friends over in the middle east. We take turns doing that and everyone in the reserves these days spends some time in the sandbox. On the way in to work I heard that Al Qaeda had declared a new offensive against...well against anyone who didn't believe like them and the started the offensive by sending in a 12 year old boy with bombs strapped to his chest to commit suicide and take as many people with him as he could. It too reminded me why I was going to work and steeled my resolution again. Any group of people who would use their children...well you know. It is evil.

None of us knew the news that Bin Laden was dead when we left base last night. I wish we had, it would have been a fun celebration with my friends. It came late and although i am happy he will not be making videos anymore, I was not sure how to respond other than to say Bravo Zulu SEAL Team 6. Hope you get a book and movie out of it.

As a Christian, I find it difficult to celebrate the death of anyone, but I do raise a toast to my shipmates, to SPECOPS, to JSOC to those that fight, those behind the scenes and those out front. I am glad he is now standing before God, having to answer for the fact he completely misrepresented the Almighty in the worst ways imaginable. And I am glad he not only answered for his crimes here but he will answer for them in the afterlife 100 fold.

To all those who are serving and have served in combat. You are men and women of Valor who deserve the medals you wear. Thank you. Although this is largely a symbolic victory, symbolism is important in this world. What it means is that there are still Americans who believe in fighting and finding those who want us dead, and find them we will.

Kudos also to President Obama who took the fight to Pakistan where this demon was hiding and followed through what began many years ago. Bravo Zulu to you Sir as well.

Colorado Majority Leader John Morse requested 331 days of Per Diem in 2009

If you've ever had to travel on business you know about submitting claims for extra pay to help reimburse you for food, expenses and travel. John Morse who was the State Majority leader in 1999 submitted claims for the maximum per diem (99$ per day) for nearly every day of the year! These are dollars taken from you in the form of taxes. It is time for Mr. Morse to stand to account for taking advantage of his situation. I am all about being fair in this situation but after I read the report, it appeared just like a government official taking as much as he possible can. While I understand if you are on State business and driving all over the state you should be paid for your time and expenses, however to ask for per diem on days where you are working in the capital I don't think I do understand. You've already been paid for that. Perhaps someone can straighten me out here but it looks a lot like fraud and waste to me.

To make matters worse, the rhetoric that Mr. Morse spits out toward others about "tightening their belt" would make you cringe. The only word that comes to mind here is Hypocrite.

"Recently, Sen. Morse ran an amendment to cut $25,000 from the Attorney General‟s budget. During debate of the same bill, he chastised Secretary of State Scott Gessler for his claims that he could not live on a salary of $68,500. Morse went on to say that Gessler "needed to tighten his belt the way ordinary Coloradans have." "

Colorado Government Accountability Project (CGAP) recently reviewed Sen. John Morse‟s 2009 per diem requests, obtained through an open records request. CGAP has discovered that Morse requested 331 days of reimbursement. This is nearly 100 days more than then Speaker of the House Terrance Carroll requested.

Morse claimed a full 120 days during the legislative session then claimed an additional 211 days, or nearly $21,000, after the end of the session. The majority of those days were labeled as „constituent work‟ on the reimbursement request; such „constituent work‟ was not supported by Sen. Morse‟s calendars. In fact, days where reimbursements were requested the calendar entries reflected haircuts, dentist appointments and packing and moving.

HUFFPO: The latest James O'Keefe success story against NPR has taken a predictable pattern --panicked press releases and firings, followed by denunciation of O'Keefe in a belated attempt to discredit him. Naturally, conservatives are crowing about it, but I wanted to give a little perspective to those Huffington Post readers -- whatever your political stripe -- who share my passion for free speech, honest debate, and fairness in the media.

Over the past year, the mainstream media has collaborated with the White House in an attempt to paint the Tea Party as racist. Remember the protests on Capitol Hill last March against ObamaCare, and the media's lie that members of the Congressional Black Congress had awful racial slurs hurled at them by Tea Party members that weekend? Did you know that there's video evidence that it isn't true?

...The executives at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which distributes the taxpayer money allocated for public broadcasting to other stations, are also generously compensated. According to CPB's 2009 tax forms, President and CEO Patricia de Stacy Harrison received $298,884 in reportable compensation and another $70,630 in other compensation from the organization and related organizations that year. That's practically a pittance compared to Kevin Klose, president emeritus of NPR, who received more than $1.2 million in compensation, according to the tax forms the nonprofit filed in 2009.

Today's media landscape is a thriving one with few barriers to entry and many competitors, unlike when CPB was created in 1967. In 2011, Americans have thousands of news, entertainment and educational programs to choose from that are available on countless television, radio and Web outlets.

Despite how accessible media has become to Americans over the years, funding for CPB has grown considerably. In 2001, the federal government appropriated $340 million for CPB. Last year it got $420 million. As Congress considers ways to close the $14 trillion deficit, cutting funding for the CPB has even been proposed by President Obama's bipartisan deficit reduction commission. Instead, Mr. Obama wants to increase CPB's funding to $451 million in his latest budget.

Meanwhile, highly successful, brand-name public programs like Sesame Street make millions on their own. "Sesame Street," for example, made more than $211 million from toy and consumer product sales from 2003-2006. Sesame Workshop President and CEO Gary Knell received $956,513 in compensation in 2008. With earnings like that, Big Bird doesn't need the taxpayers to help him compete against the Nickleodeon cable channel's Dora the Explorer.

As is usual in the Nanny State we now live in government officials and law makers feel they have the right to tell us what to eat and buy, tell us how to live, raise our children and how to act, what's good for the goose, is almost always not what's good for the gander. Look up the word hypocrit in the dictionary these days and you'll see a picture of any number of government officials including the FLOTUS. If it's not Nancy Pelosi preaching about carbon footprints from her private jet it's Michell Obama telling us we are all fat and serving high fat, high calorie meals to all her friends.
She has every right to eat whatever she wants....but so do I without her interference. No she has not passed any laws yet (but there are some on the books for sure) but the government has no right to even be thinking about what we eat...not their yob.

The Iranians warships are heading through the Suez Canal to dock for a year in Syria it appears and, according to Israel it's just to provoke them into a confrontation. Obviously, the Iranians have no problem poking a bear with a big stick.

Western Intelligence officials are saying the warships deployed in the Red Sea might be in involved in supplying radical Islamic groups from Yemen with weapons which seems like something they'd do. Rear Adm. Habibollah Sayyari, who is an Iranian navy commander, told Fars news agency his country will maintain a powerful and permanent presence in to protect Iran's interests in the "strategic waters north of the Indian Ocean."

Good luck with that!

Although I am a member of the People's Press Collective in Colorado, I am not as up on state politics as I should be. I follow national politics and comment on military news as my forte since that is what I know best, so if I misspeak or don't understand this quite right, please fill me in.

Wadhams had some good history moving our country and Colorado in the right direction, but he misses the mark on a lot too, he is right to conclude that it is time.

One wonders just who Wadhams is taking shots at, but you can certainly guess by the way he frames it. Is it the new move toward more Libertarian roots that he rejects? Or is it the establishment Republicans consistant ideals that catering to progressive Republicans is the only way to reach out to the "independent voters"? It is a fine line politicians must walk, but I am tired of politicians trying to make everyone happy, to do that you have to leave your principles by the wayside. If he is quitting because we've gotten too conservative for him, that is too bad but...good riddance.

Dick Wadhams helped John Thune upset Tom Daschle in 2004. He managed successful campaigns for Sen. Wayne Allard and Gov. Bill Owens in Colorado, and Conrad Burns in Montana. In 2005, Slate dubbed him Karl Rove's "heir apparent."

Since then, I see a string of failures. Wadhams served as chief of staff and campaign manager for George Allen, who went down in flames.
In 2008, he managed Bob Schafer's Senate run in Colorado, he lost. While also serving as the state's GOP party chair. The state went to Obama.

To be fair, recent Republican victories in Colorado have been numerous too. But from what Dick seems to be saying this week, he doesn't like the direction the party has moved. Although I am not sure what conspiracies he is talking about. I'd like him to expound on that a bit.

If being too conservative, too married to our principles loses us seats.... so be it as far as I am concerned. I am somewhat realistic, I know you can't have the whole thing all at once, but we need to do just what we are doing now, moving to support the constitution, fight the Fed where it's out of bounds, spending within our limits...and if he did not like that direction...see ya. If he thought recognizing those things was conspiratorial, if he thinks there are not enemies of this Republic working within our government to move us towards socialism, damn the consequences, then he is wrong.

Last year I had a terrible experience with AA and wrote that I would never choose to fly them again. I really peeved some AA employees off in my post (you can read their comments) but I stuck by my guns...apart from a commenter on my site, no one seemed to care about customer service at AA early last year.

Flying on the government's dime you don't get a choice so I was disappointed to learn that I would be flying AA for my recent trip.

They surprised me however with great customer service, above and beyond, with on time flights and friendly people...the opposite of my first experience. They even sent me a survey about my experience a few days later and I gave them high marks.

Well done AA, its all about your customers, we want you to succeed.

Speaking to a union crowd about Republicans Pace said “I’m willing to put my fist where I need to put it, I’m willing to fight. I’m willing to go and rumble to make sure we’re fighting for good jobs.”

Pace also said “If we let the other side have their policy, have their agenda, it’s about making the rich richer, fighting for the corporations. It’s not about growing the middle class.”
.."it’s no coincidence that the middle class started disappearing the same time union jobs started going away."

Now I was speaking somewhat tongue-in-cheek pertaining to the new air of civility. the whole idea is silly in my opinion. Politics is rough and always has been. We have nothing new now, those who say so have an agenda to shut down the other side's free speech.

Pace can use that language, it does not offend me. Politicians and especially ones in bed with unions have always spoken this way to say nothing of what the actual union bosses fighting language entails.

The problem with his statements in support of the public employees union, I would say that Mr Pace gets many thousands of dollars towards his election campaigns from unions and so he is going to vote their way regardless of whether it is good for the economy....that is the problem with public unions. They vote themselves more money...more of OUR money.

Unions operating outside the government need to come up with a way to be reasonable toward the profit margin of a company or risk being even more irrelevant than they are now. Almost every issue of State budget crisis (or failed car company for that matter) in this nation has to do with a Union who wanted too much using politicans who would not say no.

There should be no such thing as a PUBLIC employee union. If Unions can survive in the free market then so be it but in Government they have no business, it's called a conflict of interest.

Sal, your damn right it's about fighting for corporations, companies, small businesses and startups. It's about fighting for jobs and those are the places that have them for me and my neighbors. The eaiser they have it to make money, the more good paying jobs there will be.

Fuller has a history of being an angry antagonist, especially during elections. So far we have two moonbats in the shooting, the one who did the shooting and now Eric Fuller who is threatening to do more of the same. Perhaps politicians do have something to worry about, but it isn't the tea party, Glenn Beck or even right wing screamer Mark Levin.

It may be the unhinged left who is more on the brink of losing it. Talk radio is an outlet for the right. The left have no outlets, no talk radio only foaming at the mouth Ed Schultz and the smarmy Chris Matthews and their buddies at fledgling MSNBC. They could not argue their way out of a paper bag most of the time.
Right wing talkers use common sense, faith in mankind, knowledge of history and reasoning to make their points.

Last year between the primary and general elections Fuller was the inspector of elections at the polling station she worked at in both the primary and general elections. First of all, just after the primary, during the training session, Marilyn said she was warned about Fuller. She knew he was confrontational. So she was worried. He acted very bizarre during the training sessions. During the day he would stand up in the middle of room and do leg kicks and karate chops.

One time, during the primary elections, Fuller went outside and started screaming at a woman who was handing out literature beyond the 75 foot limit. He chased her to her car. The woman was very frightened and locked her doors. Eventually, she fled to another station. Fuller also had a run-in with the police that day.
