Deployment Update

Basically things are really up in the air right now because a couple of sailors set to leave in May might not be going...so your's truly will move up the line. There is a big difference between May 15 and July 15, but Semper Gumpy, I'll remain flexible. There are guys going to Iraq for 15 months right now, getting shot at in a very hot, sandy and uncomfortable environment so I cannot complain about being on a carrier for 6 months.

I will know more after this weekend. I have drill and so does one of the other guys and these things should become clear.

UPDATE* JUST SPOKE WITH the Senior Chief in charge of my deployment. I will be going in July...PERIOD....yeah!!! No chance of getting sent in May. Much easier to deal with knowing WHEN you are leaving.
